Hockey is the game canadians can't seem to get enough of. It's like an addiction similar to playing the spin palace casino games. But most importantly it is down to the loyalty as a fellow canadian to follow the country's number 1 sport!

 Forsberg back with the Avs

Avalanche blankHabs_Cup08 writes "The Colorado Avalanche have announced the signing of none other then Peter Forsberg for the remainder of the season. Huge signing for the Avs!

Wow! I thought for sure he was going to Philly. Actually I am glad he didn't because I doubt he will remain healthy and everyobe knows Philly has enough injuries.

I am so tired of hearing about Peter "My ankle hurts" Forsberg. Do the Avs really believe that he will remain healthy enough to play the remainder of the season? This guy just needs to call it quits.

Wow where did this come from?  I thought he was washed up like yesterday's laundry.  Still, his health situation remains precarious.  There's no denying his skill, but will he remain healthy?

I am so crushed by this news. I thought he wasn't coming back. I guess it is a good thing they don't need another injured player,I would be more devistated if that happened. I really shouldn't listen to rumors anymore, they are so promising to hear, but when they don't happen the way you think they will it sucks. I'm happy to see him back in the League, it will renew the Wings/Avs Rivalry now. Joe Sakic is also back and they are both great to watch. I can't wait til something good happens to the Flyers. I might be waiting a long, long time. At least I can root for the Dallas Stars they have a shot, I really hope they can get Brad Richards.

Stars/Flyers for the Cup this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he, and the Avs stay healthy, even at 50% Forsberg will be a good pick up considering they have Sakic and Stastny down the middle already.

Totally expected him to come to Ottawa given that the Flyers and Colorado are currently not in the playoffs.  Sad sad day for the Sens.

Huge gain for the Avs, can't believe it though. This might mean he's in it for the money because the Coyotes have a better chance of making the playoffs, even though they are healthy, they are 4 points behind 8th spot in the West with 19 games remaining. With teams picking up these extra points all the time in the three point games, they'd have to go on a pretty impressive run. They face division opponents 13 times, and 14 games against teams in a playoff position. Surprised only one year, Forsberg probably will feel horrible if he gets injured again. Super class player.

Avs fans can all rejoice with this news. As a huge fan of peter I have been waiting for this day to come for so long. Although he is a bit of a risky signing, we need a jump start to make the playoffs. For the people who say it is a wasted of money - at 1 million for the rest of the season, and with season ticket renewal, coming up, this signing couldn't have come at a better time for Kroenke. Whether or not Peter helps us get back to the promised land, we will have to wait, All I know is I am ecstatic that he is back where he belongs.

When is everyone going to realize this guy is just a plain old *****!
Every season he waits until he can figure out what teams are good and which ones are bad and then picks one of the good ones. As a player in any lockerroom in the NHL I would absolutely detest this attention whore and tell him to just retire until he is ready to play an entire NHL season with one team regardless of what their chances are of winning the cup....
...you all thought he was going to philly huh??? Well not so after they lost 10 games in a row!!!!
He is a punk, and the best thing that would happen for the NHL is for him to tear his ACL in warmups the first game.

I said before i'd love to see him back in a Av's jersey...

Still offended though.

This is ridiculous, the NHL needs to do something about this.  One of the things that makes hockey so great is the war of attrition that the season is.  Now you're going to have Roger Clemens wannabes tagging in with 1/4 a season left???

Selanne was ridiculous, Forsberg is just insane.  The NHL needs to do address this problem in a way that doesn't destroy the mistique of the trade deadline.  I love the trade deadline in hockey, but this starting to play with a quarter left in the season is horrible, after this year I guarantee you'll start seeing more players do this.

It just feels tainted.

Forsberg reunited in Denver. I think for a lot of avs fans this is going to be pretty exciting, we all know this guys works wonders with the puck and if he can stay healthy is one of the best players in the league. As for injury sake its 50 50 and i think francois was willing to take the chance, personally i love Foppa and i think that he will help out the avs, say he gets hurt up the middle the Avs got the likes of Sakic and Statsny back, i think well be just fine.

The lineup is going to be pretty slick though..I cant see Forsberg playing on the third line. Maybe put Statnsy on the outside but im not to sure. Lets just say Joel you got some thinking to do.

Wolski - Sakic - Smyth

Forsberg - Statsny - Hedjuk

Brunette - Arnason - Svatos

Lapperiere - Hlinka - Guite/Mcleod/Parker/ McCormick

Liles - Hannan

Clark - Leopold

Finger - Skarstins/ Sauer

Budaj

Theodore

(Thats after everyone returns from injury..boy do i miss clark!)
