Denver Post - Smyth unlikely to be moved

The Denver Post is reporting that while Canadian news outlets are reporting on the possibility of the Avalanche possibly trading Ryan Smyth, they suggest that Smyth is very happy and does not want to leave the Avalanche.

It is also noted that the Smyth does have a no trade clause and that he has three years left on his present deal. He also indicates that he “feels blessed that he has a no trade clause in his contract” which leads HTR to greatly reduce the possibility that Smyth will be moved. Note: Although it is unlikely that he will be moved HTR feels that he would look great in a Habs Jersey. He would be a prefect replacement for Kovalev in the offseason and provides a kind of classiness that is second to none.
