Hockey is the game canadians can't seem to get enough of. It's like an addiction similar to playing the spin palace casino games. But most importantly it is down to the loyalty as a fellow canadian to follow the country's number 1 sport!

Chris Neil to Toronto Maple Leafs?

Maple Leaf Trade Rumors blankglotz_99 writes "The Maple Leafs are reportedly one team interested in unrestricted free agent Chris Neil who the Ottawa Sun has reported will not likely return to the Senators next year.

Brian Burke has expressed his desire to build a bigger and tougher team for next year, and Neil could have key role in this aspect of play. Neil, who turns 30 on June 18, had three goals and seven assists for 10 points, with 146 penalty minutes, in 60 games with the Sens last season.

In 2005 he had a career year with 33 points in 79 games, with 204 PIM.
Would you like to see Chris Neil in a Leafs jersey? What kind of contract would you offer him?"

i think we can assume san jose is also interested, since they almost traded for him at the deadline.  hopefully he will go there.  he's a turd.

A few years ago he could score like 10-15 goals, but 3 goals last year? He's not great. He's a thug.

I'd sooner just re-sign Ryan Hollweg to a two-way deal and put him in when we want some toughness.

My secret sources are on holiday so I can`t find out anything. I got a hunch we could see big fire works soon. If the stupid playoffs would end, we could see big activity. Burke has that look on his face, he wants to make a move.

We dont want that fool on our team, i thought we wanted young "TALENT". I wouldnt say neil has any talent. Just a bum who wants too much money.

Of Course i want him.  If i was GM I would have traded for him at the deadline.

Chris Neil to Toronto for a Doug Gilmour bobble head.  Collectors edition.  well maybe we would have more use for the bobble head.  I will go with whatever Kramer says

don't worry leafs fans he won't end up in to he's not a burke type player .......burke wants a parros type  not another punching bag for laraque and others!but i fear we will end up with us because of  jacques martin!

For the right price I wouldn't mind him in Toronto. Rather have him than Hollweg (Best season ever is 5 POINTS) or Mayers (Best season ever 27 points). Chris Neil showed he can pull a decent season, while Hollweg and Mayers have proven that they clearly can't.

I have zero desire to see this clown in a Leafs jersey.  No offer please Mr. Burke.  His roster spot would be better given to a youngster who may actually be useful if given time to develop.

he would be a great addiditon at the right price. though either Mayers or May must be removed for this to happen. Why fill the roster with old guys when you can play the youngers.

though i prefer Mayers/May over Neil anyway

.................. why didnt Cliff Fletcher just sign Larauque when he had the chance. Montreal got one of the toughest guys in the NHL for free. the perfect Burke type

Brian Burke expects to make the playoffs in 2009-2010, so I'm trusting him on this one.  This would be great to get Chris Neil.  He's tough, he can fight, he's a Brian Burke type player.
