pezzz123 writes "It's a pleasure I have to make lists about any category of players. You probably remember my list about the best defensive d-men or about the best d-corps. I thaught about writing one about the best offensive d-men, but with Markov and Kaberle in play, it would be too dangerous ;) Maybe one day!
Instead, I've decided to write an article about who, in my opinion, are the 25 best playmakers of the National Hockey League.
I've split them in 4 categories. Elite (95+ points potential), Supertar (80-95 points potential), Star (70-85 points potential) and The worst of the Best (60-75 points potential).
Elite (95+ points potential)
1. Sidney Crosby 2. Evgeni Malkin 3. Pavel Datsyuk 4. Joe Thornton 5. Ryan Getzlaf 6. Jason Spezza 7. Marc Savard
Superstar (80-95 points potential)
8. Nicklas Backstrom 9. Henrik Sedin 10. Anze Kopitar 11. Ales Hemsky 12. Paul Stastny 13. Patrick Kane
Star (70-85 points potential)
14. Mike Ribeiro 15. Paul Kariya 16. Mikko Koivu 17. David Krejci 18. Tim Connolly 19. Brad Richards
The Worst of the Best (60-75 points potential)
20. Stephen Weiss 21. Pierre-Marc Bouchard 22. David Perron 23. Alex Tanguay 24. Michael Nylander 25. Scott Gomez
Kristian Huselius just missed the cut.
Enjoy, and discuss!! "

Re: Best playmakers in the NHL (Score: 1) by mojo19 on Sunday, July 05 (User Info | Send a Message) | Nice! Way to acknowledge David Perron!
I actually think out of St.Louis' young guns, TJ Oshie moves the puck the best. I think he belongs there ahead of Perron. Even though Perron 35 assists in 81 games, and Oshie put up 25 assists in 57. I guess its close.
I really like the Blues youn(ish) core though. Oshie, Berglund, Backes, Perron, and little bit older Boyes. Great group. St.Louis will build on a solid season last year and be even better this upcoming season. |

good call on Weiss 20th, but those other two should be there.
Mike Richards is a Star if not a Superstar. |

Spezza and Savard are better playmakers than Getzlaf. |
