Hockey is the game canadians can't seem to get enough of. It's like an addiction similar to playing the spin palace casino games. But most importantly it is down to the loyalty as a fellow canadian to follow the country's number 1 sport!

Moore's motto: Have stick, will travel

Canadiens blankPAT HICKEY, The Gazette

Dominic Moore seems like an unlikely candidate to serve as the missing piece to the puzzle as the Canadiens battle to earn a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Canadiens acquired Moore from the Florida Panthers on Feb. 11 in exchange for a second-round pick at the 2011 NHL entry draft. Montreal is Moore's seventh stop in an NHL career that ironically began at the Bell Centre on Nov. 1, 2003, when the 6-foot, 196-pound centre collected three assists to become the second New York Ranger to score three points in his NHL debut.

But the 29-year-old has fit right in with the Canadiens, providing a veteran's presence and a strong work ethic. He is a dependable faceoff man, and he provided two important goals and an assist as the Canadiens won three games on their recent four-game road trip.

"He's solidified our third line and he came up with a big play for us tonight," coach Jacques Martin said after Moore set up Brian Gionta with less than two minutes to go to ignite Montreal's 4-3 comeback shootout win over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night.

When the Canadiens acquired Moore from the Panthers, it marked the fourth time he has been traded. He also changed teams once on waivers and once as an unrestricted free agent.

"Obviously, it's not ideal to keep moving," Moore said. "I wouldn't wish it on anyone, to be honest with you. At the same time, I haven't been handed anything in my pro career.

"Some guys get lucky and they get tons of opportunity right off the hop and others have to scratch and claw for anything they get, and that's been my road," he added. "It's made me a lot better person and a lot better player, and I can only be proud of that. As much as you face obstacles along the road, in the end it's how you respond to them." When general manager Pierre Gauthier was asked about Moore's frequent moves, he suggested it was a case of teams wanting Moore rather than dumping him.

If asked he will still say he made the right choice turning down that 3yr contract offer from the leafs. too bad good team guy and a hard worker. Won't be suprised if ANA goes after him, as he should be fairly cheap to sign and seems to play well with Blake.

I got a new million dollar business idea. A woodshop place where you make your own hockey stick!

Think of it. Most hockey players aren't happy with their hockey stick. They gotta pay lots of money to get it custom made.

Why go through all that hassle?  Why not just make your own stick?

Just walk in to your local Kramer Hockey Woodshop and make your own hockey stick.

Any size blade, any length, any angle.  Even make your own illegal sized Marty McSorley stick.

Bye Bye Maxim.  Please let that door cheap shot your ass from behind.

At one point I thought Maxim would be a future captain of this team.  A guy who worked hard, a pest, played both ways and potential 20 goal scorer.

Now what is he?  A pest that goes out with an intent to injur and never backs up his talk. (I'm talking about play in addition to fighting)

I would honestly have no prob with Maxim not fighting, if he socred some goals because thats what pests do, throw other players off their game and draw penalties. But he is cheap and I am disgusted with him.

Nothing to do with the article but great game last night between Calgary and Detroit.

I have been really impressed with Ian White 11GP 4 points and plus 9 with the flames. Him and Regehr look great together they complement each others games nicely.

Stajan Bourque and Iginla 15 points in the last 2 games as well.
