Team-By-Team Most Likely To Be Traded At The Draft

Anaheim: With Scott Niedermayer retired, defense is a priority. That means re-signing James Wisniewski and adding another impact blueliner. A plethora of forwards are already signed, but one that isn't is RFA Bobby Ryan. Ryan could land the Ducks a huge return, and some believe that his 30-goal seasons are as much a result of the talent around him as his goal-scoring upside.

Atlanta: There's lots of money invested on the blue line and lots of holes up front. Still, Clarke MacArthur is an RFA and scored just three times in 21 games with the Thrashers. Some teams may see his potential and make a play for him.

Boston: With Horton coming to town and Tyler Seguin likely in their crosshairs with the No. 2 pick, the Bruins could move a center for help elsewhere — on the ice and the cap ledger. While name has come up the most of late, Marc Savard's Patrice Bergeron might be a better option given that he has just one year left on his deal.

Buffalo: Drew Stafford was supposed to be a power forward in Buffalo, but he managed just 34 points last season. With one year left on his deal before he becomes an RFA, Buffalo could ship his reasonable contract ($2.3M/$1.9M cap hit) to a team desperate for forward help.

Carolina: The Canes would love to unload one of their higher-priced underachieving forwards like Erik Cole or Sergei Samsonov , but RFA d-man Alexandre Picard could be the odd man out with Anton Babchuk poised to return from Russia.

Calgary: The big move was made at the deadline when they shipped Dion Phaneuf to Toronto. They still need help on offense, but will be hard-pressed to get it with limited assets to move. Still, RFA swingman Ian White could be traded due to the glut of defensemen on the Flames roster.

Chicago: No team is guaranteed to make a move, but the Hawks might be the odds-on favorites. With cap troubles and a title to defend, Chicago will likely send Andrew Ladd, an RFA, elsewhere ASAP.

Columbus: I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the Blue Jackets will part ways with Nikita Filatov , who left the team for Russia last year after complaining of ex-coach Ken Hitch*****'s bench style.

Colorado: The Avs were a big surprise last season, but defenseman John-Michael Liles was a disappointment. He bounced back at the end of the season, so maybe a team that needs a power play quarterback — one that loses out on Tomas Kaberle ? — could make a play for Liles and his inflated $4.2 million cap hit.

Dallas: RFA James Neal is the team's top priority, and that means one-time wunderkind Fabian Brunnstrom is the odd-man out. An RFA himself, Brunnstrom hasn't lived up to the hype that he was the best player outside of North America. His qualifying offer will be steep — nearly $2.5 million.
