Hockey is the game canadians can't seem to get enough of. It's like an addiction similar to playing the spin palace casino games. But most importantly it is down to the loyalty as a fellow canadian to follow the country's number 1 sport!

Agree with everything except I'd have Eric Staal as captain, crosby and phaneuf as assistants

I'd have to seriously put Corey Perry and Pierre-Marc Bouchard ahead of Jordan Staal. I love Jordan Staal and I like what he brings to the table but I'd have to go with Bouchard and Perry.

Also, I think you missed out on possibly one of the better defensive forwards from the younger generation in Kyle Chipchura. Yeah, he's only played around 15 games but he a very good puck handler who seems to love to play keep-away from opposing players.

Not ready for your list yet but Boston has a gem in Matt Lashoff.  Alot of good young players out there and it's nice to see the talent pool gaining ground on the number of teams.

Also not ready yet, but Sam Gagner will be there soon!  Well, a couple of years anyway...in 2010 he'll still only be 21!

How do you miss Bouwmeester, and Burns?

You could make a case for Bourdon too. He has been excellent this year.

If Mike Camalerri is Canadian, he should be on there. Good list but a bunch of the "missing the cut" forwards are better than Pominville imo. Good stuff though.

While Paul Stastny is born in Quebec City, he has American citizenship and has played with the US World Juniors team, which, unless I am mistaken, according to IIHF rules disqualifies him from playing for Canada.

Corey Perry deserves to be on the team over Pominville because hes younger and i believe he will be better.  Not to mention all the players Pominville played with on Buffalo to help with his stats.

IMO MA Fleury isnt a great goalie.  I dont think hes ayn better then Ray Emery but i guess there isnt many other candidates as of yet to fill in.

Players you eigther missed for your team or didnt honorably mention

Jay Bouwmeester
Sam Gagner
Mike Cammalleri
Matt Stajan
(good players, deserves mention)
Joffrey Lupul (scored 28 goals 2 seasons ago)
Andrew Cogliano (lighting fast)
Antoine Vermette
Devin Setoguchi
(7 goals so far in rookie season)
Dustin Penner (jury still out on him but hes a big power forward)
Duncan Keith (if Campoli makes the team then Keith can make it to or at least be mentionned)
Steve Bernier
Ian White
Mike Green
Jonathan Tavares
Steve Stamkos

Milan Lucic-  This kid was cut from the Neely mold with shoulders wider than an axe handle.

First half of the season proving himself, he'll spend too much time in the box (ala Neely '85-'86)- but his hands are as soft as they are hard.

future 30+ goal scorer

Last year he netted 30 in the WHL, with an impressive +32,,, all with 147 in penalty minutes...

Now if the Bruins can just find a big enough jersey with a decent cut, so he doesn't look so much like Frankenstien.
