Hockey is the game canadians can't seem to get enough of. It's like an addiction similar to playing the spin palace casino games. But most importantly it is down to the loyalty as a fellow canadian to follow the country's number 1 sport!

 Game 1 In Review

Team Canada blankgetzlaf15 writes "Already 1 game into the tournament, team canada is gelling together and looking good! Through three periods, Bernier has shut the door with great defensive help in front of him. Sutter and Legein are also getting noticed with their physical play.

Other unsung heros include Steven Stamkos (3 assists in game), John Tavares (2 goals) and Josh Godrey (2 assists). Especially Stamkos, he is the real deal. What a great playmaker that draws penalties and forcing it to the net. He is the favorite to go no.1 in June and he is sure proving the hockey world.

Stay tuned with reviews after each of Canada's games. They play next tomorrow morning (December 27th at 9:30 am). Expect Steve Mason to get the start.

FINAL SCORE: 3-0"

This was my first peek at Bernier.  Very impressive.  He's positionally sound and covers the net extremely well.  Plus very quick lateral movement and vision.  In short he's got everything you can ask for in a young goalie.  LA is very fortunate to have him.

On an other note, great game by Team C.  Stamkos and Tavares were great, same with Bernier.

Being in the U.S. and not being able to see any non medal round games, could someone fill me in on how Giroux looked? I saw he didn't score any points, but how did he play?

I find it very biased(and yes I am Canadian) that all we see posted on here is the score for Canada. American's are the same as us, they love their country and their teams as well, show some god damn respect even if you are Canadian or not, it just shows how errogant us Canadians really are sometimes.

i find all of the inter country rivalries interesting, but they're not for me. sorry, but aside from hockey the country is miles apart. i live in toronto. i go skiing in montreal and get called stupid, just because i speak english. i go to edmonton to visit relatives, and all the people in edmonton talk about is how toronto is *****ed up and how western canada should split from canada. and trust me walk into a first nations reserve and ask them what they think about canadians....trust me you wont be in for a lovely chat.

the only thing that brings us together is hockey, and thats pathetic.

so i never care who wins. i never care where a hockey player comes from. the US could walk all over canada in the gold metal game and i wouldn't care. actually they've got that good NCAA kid Ruegsegger who is a leafs prospect, so i really wouldn't mind that at all.

i cheer for the blue leaf, not the red one.
