Yahoo sports is reporting It was only three years ago that Kevin Durant and the rest of the Seattle SuperSonics folded up their green-and-gold uniforms for good and moved to Oklahoma City. Now word comes that there are plans for an arena to be built in a Seattle suburb that could house an NHL team, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. The main focus of the plan is to try and lure an NHL team to Seattle, the online newspaper reports.

General manager Brian Burke confirmed as much Wednesday, saying Wilson has “done a marvellous job” and would remain behind the bench for 2011-12.

James Reimer has had a terrific little run. He stepped into the breach when the Leafs needed somebody - anybody - who could stop the puck with consistency, and turned the club from a team wallowing in the depths of the Eastern Conference into a squad that has at least been able to make the final weeks of the season interesting.
It's clear Reimer has a chance to be a good NHL goalie, or maybe more.

Leafs stalked by trade rumours In one corner of the Maple Leafs dressing room on Monday afternoon, Mikhail Grabovski was addressing trade rumours. In another corner, Clarke MacArthur had just stopped doing the same. Nearly a month has to pass before the NHL's trade deadline comes on Feb. 27, but with the all-star break finished, speculation will start to thicken in earnest. Mikhail Grabovski brushes aside trade speculationThat is a lot of time, and there are a lot of seats in the dressing room.
