UsedandAbused writes "Flyers received horrible news today. Timonen will miss the remainder of the season with a blood clot according to the Philadelphia Daily News. This is bad news for the entire NHL as this could possible make the Eastern Conference Finals much less competitive.
prayin-for-the-wce writes "Fabian Brunnstrom has finally signed with a NHL team. The Dallas Stars has won the much sough-after winger to the disappointment of many rival NHL teams.
All i can say is, THANK GOD ITS FINALLY OVER!!!!~ "
BruMagnus writes "Now that we are down to just 4 teams, what are your predictions for the Conference Finals and for who will make the Finals and win it all?
The Penguins, the conference's worst team two years ago, will meet the cross-state Philadelphia Flyers, the conference's worst team last season, in the first all-Pennsylvania conference final.
The Red Wings, winners of 4 of the past 6 President's Trophies and in the Semi-Finals back-to-back years, will meet the Dallas Stars, who ousted many people's picks to win the Cup in the Ducks or Sharks."
Sands writes "Watching Crosby, watching the Pens this series showed me A LOT about the NHL and NBC and all of the channels which when airing a Pens game turn into "The Crosby Channel."
The NHL has given a lot to the Pens to save them from moving the team. And it's a little too much now.
The Pens will be in the Finals. This I Guarantee.
But when the NHL tries to hand the cup to a player to promote hockey... that's where we need to draw the line."
sakurulz writes "Well, after a great season full of good surprises, Habs get eliminated by Philly's big bad Flyers. Some are shocked, other disappointed but bottom line is the most DESERVING (and not best) team won.."
20 NHL teams have made the journey back to the Promise Land being down 3-0 or 3-1.
18 of these teams have done it within the last 20 playoff seasons.
Last time a Comeback happened... 2004 East Conference Quarter-Finals Round, Montreal made the comeback to beat Boston who was up 3-1 in the series before losing the next 3.
From 1987-2004 within this time frame of 17 years 18 teams made the comeback happen.
It's been a 3 years and looking at these teams battling… each team has the talent to push the other to a game 7.

Komisarek_Pwns writes "Johan Franzen, of the Detroit Red Wings, notched his second hat trick of the series in his team's four game sweep of the Colorado Avalance. This gave Franzen a total of nine goals in the series, beating the record previously set by Gordie Howe in 1949. What makes the feat even more amazing is that Howe's record of eight goals was acheived over the course of a seven game series. This isn't the first time the Sweden native has bested one of Howe's records. In March his six game-winning goals bested Howe's previous record of five.
