Trade Rumors: Hawks and Caps on the verge of a deal?

Trade Rumors blank The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that the Black Hawks have been trying to land Nylander since the beginning of the season. It is now speculated that the two teams may finally be on the brink of making the trade become a reality.

The rumor is that the Hawks would send Dustin Byfuglien to the Caps in exchange for Nylander. Of interest is that Dustin Byfuglien was scratched for the last game due to an apparent injury. We all know that at times these apparent injuries are a just a ploy to ensure that the player does not get hurt and jeopardize any possible deals. Chicago will need to clear some salary before this is a done deal.
TSN's Bob McKenzie had an article about this trade a few days ago.

Both teams are pressed against the cap so in order to make up the 2 million difference (nylander/byfuglien) a third party would have to be involved.  Here is my suggestion..

To Chicago: Jason Spezza, 2nd round pick

To Ottawa: Nik Khabibulin, 1st round pick, David Bolland, Cam Barker

And then..

To Chicago: Micheal Nylander

To Washington: Dustin Byfuglien, 2nd round pick

Move number one makes 3 million roughly in space and also upgrades the offence and gets rid of one of their expensive goaltenders.  This move also helps Ottawa with its goaltending woes and also gives them some youth with a puck moving defencemen and a possible replacement for Spezza in Bolland (obviously not as talented).  With 3 million in cap space made there is room to trade for Byfuglien.

Wow wee....real pictures with each article. What a great concept!  Now we can  visualize the hockey topic.  Why read the novel when you can just rent the movie on DVD?
