Hockey is the game canadians can't seem to get enough of. It's like an addiction similar to playing the spin palace casino games. But most importantly it is down to the loyalty as a fellow canadian to follow the country's number 1 sport!

Trade Rumors: Leafs trade rumour of the day features Ryan Getzlaf
When Ducks GM Bob Murray announced a month ago that everyone on his team, excluding veterans Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne, could be traded, it opened the floodgates for rumours involving his team’s Big Three: forwards Ryan Getzlaf, Bobby Ryan and Corey Perry.
It also lit a blazing fire a under the Ducks, who have recorded a 9-1-1 mark since the comments were made. With his club now 10 points out of a playoff spot, Murray may yet change his mind but speculation remains that the Ducks will be sellers as the NHL trade deadline nears.

Leafs stalked by trade rumours
In one corner of the Maple Leafs dressing room on Monday afternoon, Mikhail Grabovski was addressing trade rumours.
In another corner, Clarke MacArthur had just stopped doing the same.
Nearly a month has to pass before the NHL's trade deadline comes on Feb. 27, but with the all-star break finished, speculation will start to thicken in earnest.

Trade Rumors: Mikhail Grabovski brushes aside trade speculation
That is a lot of time, and there are a lot of seats in the dressing room. On Monday, as the team returned from the all-star break, the hottest seat belonged to Mikhail Grabovski, the centre who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
“You know, I think it’s more about you guys — not me,” he said of speculation he might become a bargaining chip in the trade market. “I think more about hockey than about my future. I know if I play well, I can stay with the same team.”

Simmons: If Burke doesn't care, why does he fight?
Will all the media people — writers, commentators, analysts, hosts — who Brian Burke hasn’t cut off, fought with, tried to bully or intimidate this hockey season, please raise your hands?
The list of Burke’s battles, his latest target being Don Cherry, is ever growing and frankly, it says much more about Burke than it does about the people is squabbling with.

Burke 'trying hard' to make a trade
All eyes are on Brian Burke.
Maybe that’s because he’s one of the few GMs who will actually be in Ottawa for this weekend’s NHL all-star festivities, but with the trade deadline only 31 days away, everybody is waiting for Burke to make a move.
“He’s trying. He’s trying hard. He definitely wants to get bigger,” a league executive said Thursday.

Burke keeps trade avenues open
Defenceman Luke Schenn, now seen as a prime trade candidate with Tuesday’s four-year, $15 million US contract extension for John-Michael Liles, has been waiting four years to be a part of a winning Leaf team and has no desire to go now.
“The guys we have right now are obviously thinking they’ll be part of things here in the future,” Schenn said Tuesday.
He’s already had a talk with the general manager after his name seeped into trade banter for Flyers’ James van Riemsdyk earlier this month.

Trade Rumors: Leafs News - From tsn.ca
Future Planning
On Wednesday morning's edition of Blue Breakfast on TSN Radio 1050, NHL Insider Darren Dreger spoke about the Toronto Maple Leafs as the NHL trade deadline approaches.
While the market appears to be calm right now as selling teams wait to see if the prices go up for players, Dreger discusses what the Leafs might have to give up as they try to land a difference maker.
"If Burke is going to make an impactful deal, then he's going to have to give away potential, and that's Nazem Kadri, Luke Schenn, players like that," Dreger said. "Otherwise, you're tinkering."

Trade Rumors: Will the Leafs trade Grabovski?
There will be lots of trade speculation involving the Leafs until the Feb. 27 NHL deadline, and one player whose name will be in rumours is forward Mikhail Grabovski, who happened to be the best Leaf on Tuesday. Due to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, Grabovski would be an attractive piece on the trade market, and general manager Brian Burke already is getting calls about the 27-year-old.

Maple Leafs show some fight — in practice
Things got a little testy at Maple Leafs practice on Sunday, with Carl Gunnarsson and Joey Crabb getting into a scuffle with each other.
Crabb got a couple of hard rights in on Gunnarsson before coaches Rob Zettler and Greg Cronin and teammate Nikolai Kulemin separated the two. Crabb and Gunnarsson jawed at each other while skating away.
The two later made up; coach Ron Wilson made them both lead the after-practice stretches for their chuckling teammates.

Size matters and it's hurting Leafs
The Maple Leafs need it, and Brian Burke has to go out and get it — sooner rather than later. The Leafs are on a fast train to Funkville and something has to be done to get them back on the rails. They’ve lost three straight and have dropped out of a playoff spot, and have managed only six goals in their last four games.

Leafs Trade Watch: Power Forwards
Sharxfan20 writes "So, I figured I'd join the Leafs trade talks, and discuss some possible names of interest to Burke and the organization. I know a previous article mentioned Ryan Malone, who may very well be a target. But who else:
Johan Franzen Cal Clutterbuck Scott Hartnell (high price!) Chuck Kobasew Troy Brouwer
I wont make any sample offers, perhaps just give your thoughts/opinions on who you would like to see north of the border
