Are the Canucks interested in Erat?
From tsn.ca
The Capitals paid a steep price for on last year’s deadline day and it has not worked out well with zero goals in his last 23 games and he was a healthy scratch in the Capitals’ last game. Are there any teams interested in Erat? He has asked for a trade.
Would Ruutu be a good fit in Toronto?
Dreger "Tuomo Ruutu in Carolina may be a good fit in Toronto, but that salary doesn't fit."

Ottawa Senators still in market for defenceman
The Senators have certainly shown an interest in Rangers’ blueliner Michael Del Zotto, but if GM Glen Sather is asking for Chris Neil or defenceman Marc Methot in return then that’s likely a non-starter.
It’s believed the Senators have spoken with the Panthers about defenceman Dmitry Kulikov, but the asking price is high and there’s talk the 23-year-old is headed back to Russia a the end of this season.
Maybe Isles should trade for Michael Del Zotto
The Islanders are in trouble on defense — bigger trouble now that Thomas Hickey, one of the few remaining reliable defensemen, is likely out.
The Rangers need to make a change and want Michael Del Zotto to be the one moving out.
Here is a not-so-modest, but sensible, proposal: A real trade between the Isles and Rangers.
NHL rumours: Habs eye ‘big splash’ trade
Ranked eighth in the Eastern Conference in goals scored, the Montreal Canadiens are reportedly looking to acquire a “top-tier” player, presumably a first-line forward, according to The Fourth Period.
Multiple sources told the magazine that general manager Marc Bergevin is trying to make a “big splash” in the trade market.

HAVLAT’S FUTURE
It’s going to be intriguing to see how things roll out in San Jose concerning the future of 32-year-old winger Martin Havlat.
GM Doug Wilson came out in the local newspaper this week and talked about Havlat having to earn his ice time on a team loaded with forwards.

According to this article (http://hokej.idnes.cz/martin-erat-odchod-z-washingtonu-nhl-hokej-fjt-/nhl.aspx@c=A131125_120725_nhl_cig) Martin Erat wants out of Washington.
While he would never admit it, Kings GM Lombardi has been sniffing around Sabres goalie Ryan Miller
If Miller does decide he wants to move on — and the belief is he wants to go to the Western Conference — a league source says there’s a team that may interest Miller looking for a goalie: The Los Angeles Kings.
Will the Rangers or Penguins make a push for Cammalleri
Calgary Flames winger Mike Cammalleri’s old agent is Vancouver Canucks GM Mike Gillis, but I’d say the Pittsburgh Penguins or the New York Rangers will make the biggest push for him at the trade deadline, even if he’ll still have $1.25 million left on his $6 million contract. The Penguins need some offence outside of their top six.
Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund takes notice of trade rumours
For the record, Mikael Backlund wants to stay.
The Calgary Flames centre is suddenly the subject of trade speculation, with TSN’s Darren Dreger reporting Friday on Twitter that four or five teams have ‘kicked tires’ on Backlund and the Flames are ‘willing to move him.’
Toronto Maple Leafs GM Dave Nonis intends to sign Dion Phaneuf to new deal but ‘it has to be the right number’
Speaking with Sportsnet 590 The Fan on Thursday morning, Nonis praised Phaneuf for a growth in leadership ability, as well as for logging hard minutes on the blue line. The 28-year-old is logging a team-high average of 24 minutes 17 seconds of ice time a night.
RUMOURS DU JOUR – From the Ottawa Sun
Three teams say there is a lot of chatter and most of it is coming from the Sunshine State. After sending Versteeg back to the Hawks, Florida GM Dale Tallon isn’t done. He’d like to move RW Scottie Upshall, LW Tomas Fleischman, RW Brad Boyes, RW Tomas Kopecky, C Marcel Goc and C Shawn Matthias before the deadline.
