Various media outlets including the Buffalo News are speculating that Chris Drury may be on his way to San Jose next week. The indications are that the Sharks are looking for ways to clear up salary in order to take a run at the UFA.

Larry Brooks of the New York Post provides some interesting draft day talk. Brooks indicates that there are no “saviours” in this years draft and that each of the teams in the top three positions … Chicago, Philly and Phoenix are entertaining offers for their picks.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that the Florida Panthers have been trying to acquire Martin Gerber and his 3.7 million dollar contract from the Ottawa Senators.

The Ottawa Sun is providing some huge rumor information. They are reporting that the Tampa Bay Lightning may be willing to trade Brad Richards and his huge contract at this weekends entry drat to either Chicago, Philly or the Phoenix Coyotes, the teams that hold the first several picks at the draft.
