Can Colorado Repeat?
With the Wings getting Hasek, Dallas getting Turgeon. and St. Louis getting Weight, the Western Conference has experienced some big changes.
Straka awarded contract
It has just been reported that Martin Straka of the Pittsburgh Penguins has been awarded a 2 yr./$7.2 million contract from the arbitrator handling his case. This is a pretty good baragin for the Pens considering Bill Guerin got $5.1 million. Robert Lang had his arbitration hearing yesterday, and Alexei Kovalev will have his within the next couple of days.

Sather VS. The Media
What will it be? I see the media criticize the Rangers when they sign a couple of big UFA’s, and now I see the media criticize the Rangers when they did not sign big UFA players. Well make up your mind, this is not normal. GM Glen Sather chose something new in Rangers history, and it is a tough gutsy move for him.
The Eastern Conference
It’s time for another preview on the Eastern Conference, considering I didn’t agree with the last one done.

Is Lindros worth the Trouble? and who wants the distraction?
All seems quiet now about the NHL, although many big names still seem to be lurking in the background. One of those big names is one we have all heard before, Eric Lindros. Sparing you any of the boring details that not need to be said because it is already common knowledge, Eric will not be back in Philadelphia, but will he be anywhere? And is he worth what it will take to get him there?
Atlanta Chooses Different Rhodes, Chris Nogood in NYC, J.Al in Ruins With Bruins
How does Jason Allison feel? Allison feels like Big Angry Al, and not so Super, so thanks for asking. The Rangers are in the middle of crossroads, which goalie should they get? Sergei Federov could loose his Red Angel Wings and could join Hell’s team in NJ, while Arnott and Allison could get their Wings. The things that are going on this summer are very interesting, too interesting to not talk about.
