Could the Senators look to move Cowen?
The Senators will clear $4.4 million in salary, according to www.generalfanager.com, by saying goodbye to longtime employees Chris Phillips and Chris Neil. But the small-market Senators would still prefer to have more breathing room to re-up Hoffman, who has a team-high 22 goals. Jared Cowen has one year remaining at a hefty salary of $4.5 million.
